Even so, it’s important to lubricate all the essential hardware components with oil or grease once a year to ensure proper functioning, preserve the window’s quality, and extend its lifespan.
If any parts are worn or damaged, they should be replaced, especially if they are key components. The hardware should be cleaned only with a soft cloth and mild, pH-neutral cleaning products diluted in water. Never use abrasive or aggressive cleaning products, or those containing acid, on the hardware or the window itself.
